Description

The cabbage seedpod weevil is a severe pest throughout Europe and the northwestern United States. Larvae are white and grub-like that feed within the pods on developing seeds. Larval development takes approximately six weeks, where larva can consume about five canola seeds. Status of this weevil in Kansas not well known, however a related species, the cabbage curculio, is listed in the Insects of Kansas.
